Notes
The regiment was Independent in religious outlook, like Montagu's, and were closely aligned with Cromwell.
Coats and Flags
The regiment were issued red coats lined blue in 1644 2). Pickering's were issued a new set of blue colours on joining the New Model Army, perhaps they had carried blue colours under Manchester, but this is unknown.
