Waller's dragoons carried a set of yellow guidons differenced by black plates (gunstones)2). Illustrated above is Capt William Turpin's guidon. Waller's own troop perhaps carried a plain yellow guidon. The guidons were:

  • 1 plate: Major Archibald Strachan's Troop
  • 2 plates: Capt. John Clerke's
  • 3 plates: Capt. Nicholas Moore's
  • 4 plates: Capt. John Bennett's
  • 5 plates: Capt. William Turpin's.
