A regiment whose existence is dubious, perhaps representing other troops of Eastern Association dragoons coming under Cromwell’s command as Lieutenant General

Service History

The existence of this unit is based on references to two officers, captains Cannon and Miller who were referred to as part of Cromwell’s dragoons. Both appear to have served elsewhere, Cannon in Colonel James Holborne's Regiment of Dragoons and Miller in Colonel John Pickering’s Regiment of Dragoons. Perhaps this unit was a temporary organisation, represents ‘loose troops’ of dragoons under Cromwell’s command as Lt General of the Eastern Association or refers to Cambridge Trained Band dragoons.
