Service History

1639

  • April: Shipped to the Firth of Forth
  • Land on the island of Incholm
  • May: Re-embark and anchor off Dunbar
  • May: Continue voyage from Dunbar to Holy Island, arriving 28th May, and march to Berwick
  • June: Standoff between Birks and Duns Law

Notes

The regiment formed part of Hamilton's seaborne invasion force. Unfortunately Harcourt was acutely seasick, with a physician pronouncing him unable to survive a week at sea.
