The Warwickshire Trained Bands of 1638 consisted of 600 men armed with 357 muskets and 243 corslets (body armour, signifying pikemen). They also mustered 88 cuirassiers.
In August 1651 the Warwickshire militia were ordered to rendezvous at Northampton.
