Tregonwell's Commission
Docquets of Letters Patent published 1837 by William Henry Black viewable at The National Archives, Reference C 231/3.
Thomas Tregonell was Commissioned to raise 1000 Foot and 500 Horse 15th March 1643.
Victor writes: This is a Photocopy as far as I recollect but the original corrected proof is on Ebay with an American Dealer dated 1834.
Sallenova's certificate
“I doe heere certifie to whome soever it may concerne that Captayne Peter de Sallenova of Dorchester in the lowest tymes of ye Parliament was my constant intelligencer to the garrison of Poole not onlye in ye tyme when Coll Strangwayes & Coll Thomas Treganwell commanded in this county but also in the tyme of Coll Generall Ashburnham… Jo Bingham” (N.A. Freake's petition
To the right Honourable Committee for Composiccions at Goldsmiths Hall The humble peticion of Robert Freake of Hilton in the County of Dorset Esq. Sheweth that your peticioner was sometime Lieut: Coll: to Mr Tho: Tregonwell and acted in that office for a short tyme. That your peticioner at the coming over of the Irish layd downe his armes presently which was about two yeares since and hath ever since lived at his owne house quietly. That your peticioner is in debt about £2700 and by reson thereof desireth not to come to London. Your peticioner humbly desireth that he may be admitted to Composicion and that his debts may be considered.

A charge of delinquency against George Barber of Ashmore, Co. Dorset. That he set forth his son Roger to serve against the Parliament under Colonel Tregonwell.
Wellstead shot
William Wellstead (of Downton, Wiltshire) did serve in a Troop which I did then command and was shot at Sapsworth with a brace of bulletts in the thye. Signed George Thorpe, George Duke, Edward Penruddock, Thos. Hunt and Richard Goldston
