Earl of Kingston
Robert Pierrepont, 1st Earl of Kingston upon Hull was appointed Royalist Lieutenant General of Lincoln, Rutland, Huntingdon, Cambridge and Norfolk, an area mainly under Parliamentary control. Captured at Gainsborough he was killed by Royalist cannon fire while being transported to Hull by boat.
