Matthew Boynton

Matthew's father, confusingly Sir Matthew Boynton (d. 1647) was a Parliamentarian in the First Civil War, leading Sir Matthew Boynton’s Regiment of Foot. His son joined the Royalists in the Third Civil War and was killed at Wigan Lane.
