 +Sir John Digby of Mansfield Woodhouse in the County of Nottingham Knight,aged about fifty yeares sworne and examined,to the third interrogatory he saith,​that,​Lt. Colonell David Errington quartered at Mansfield in the County of Nottingham in about November 1643 to collect assesments in the Wapentake of Broxtowe in the said County for the service of the Earle of Newcastles Army and continued at Mansfield in that Wapentake for the space of sixe weekes,as this deponent believes,​and had then under his command then about four or five hundred horse,and this deponent further saith that a greate parte of the Earles of Newcastles Army were quartered about Mansfield and between Mansfield and Nottingham dureing that time,and that the whole County of Nottingham (the Castle of Nottingham onely excepted) were in the yeare 1643 in the power of the Kings partie,to the 4th and fifth interrogatory this deponent saith,that in the yeare 1642 hee was High Sheriffe of the County of Nottingham,​and did execute that office accordinge to his patent...MORE P7210135

 +That Christopher Hall of Hartburne in the County of Durham Gent did send first a mare into Col. Erringtons Troope,by his Cosin Christopher Kirke,and did afterwards upon the said Kirkes dislike, change the mare and give him a horse in the yeare 1642.
