Robert Brandling

Previously served as colonel of a Royalist regiment Colonel Robert Brandling's Regiment of Horse but was captured by the Scots at Corbridge. He was exchanged and served at the siege of York and Marston Moor for the Royalists. Captured again at the fall of York, he changed sides to the Parliament and was made Colonel by Lord Fairfax. He served as a Parliamentarian colonel in 1648 and in 1651.
