Lawrence Parsons

Prior to his commission as Colonel he had served as Lieutenant of Horse under Captains Hatcher and Aiscough and as Captain of Lord Fairfax's Life Guard from 25th March 1643. He also served as Quartermaster-General of the Northern Association under Poyntz in which capacity he was present at the battle of Rowton Heath and the siege of Newark (see Parsons accounts in N.A. SP28/140/Part12)
