 =====Notes===== =====Notes=====
 As can be seen from the officer lists below this regiment went through a number of distinct stages. The original regiment took part in Brereton's and Myddleton's short lived invasion of Wales in late 1643 with 3 companies being left in garrison at Harwarden castle when they withdrew. Myddleton then returned to London taking his officers but apparently abandoning most of the rank and file at Wem. He then raised what seems to have been virtually a new regiment. With this he campaigned with the Earl of Denbigh in the West Midlands and Welsh Marches. However on arrival at the Welsh border many of his English Captains seem to have departed being replaced by new Welsh Captains. By mid 1645 the regiment appears almost entirely Welsh.  As can be seen from the officer lists below this regiment went through a number of distinct stages.
