  • Garrison London

  • August: Disbanded

The Regiment was raised in 1645 specifically to man the forts around London and as such was under the control of the London Militia Committee rather than the army. Many of the officers had previously served in Colonel John Venn’s Regiment of Foot at Windsor and several of those had held pre-war trained band commands.
