-Fane died the 9th of December 1642  (NA SP28/​4/​264). At this point the regiment had at least 3 Companies. His own and those of Capt John Inwood and Capt Philip Pinchon (NA SP28/​4/​209).+Fane was the third son of the Earl of Westmoreland. He was mortally wounded at the storm of Farnham Castle and died on the 9th of December 1642  (NA SP28/​4/​264). At this point the regiment had at least 3 Companies.
