Garret cron Fitzgerald

Garret cron, or humpbacked, Fitzgerald wore no armour as he carried silver-encased Agnus Dei tablets on his arm, shoulder and head that were widely believed to protect him from enemy action. His death at Dungan's Hill seems to have greatly demoralised the Irish horse.
