Notes

Mydhope had apparently raised the regiment on his own initiative from disbanded soldiers in Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire, before offering it for service in Ireland. No evidence has yet been found for it's actual service.

He had served as Major in Colonel Richard Graves’ Regiment of Horse and continued in an independent command, leading those parts of the regiment that stayed in the Midlands when their Colonel left to serve under the Earl of Essex.
